Sorry, there is a misunderstanding.

I currently live in countrybrook. The neighborhood with the solar panel and Arnold the pig issues.

I am moving to a new neighborhood with the exact same CCRs - the same developer did both.

The board in my new neighborhood says “we are not Country Brook” and we interpret things differently. “It’s not personal, we just want to maintain standards”.

The homeowners just took control about 2 years - only about 50 homes and 95% built out. Country Brook is about 300 homes and 99% built - they have more money to work with, but pick losing battles. As my Country Brook home is sold, I won’t be on the hook for the special assessment that comes to cover the Arnold lawsuit cost.

Country Brook as to quick to Litigate, my new HOA has no money to litigate. Neither seems to have anyone that understands the contractual nature of CCRs.

Not that young, just never lived in a community with vague CCRs and the board wants to extend interpretation.

We lived in Texas for a bit, and even though the HOA was more restrictive, it was clear in color and construction standards.

JohnM93, I beg your pardon for my mistake.

You need to get on the board.

I don’t think they want my strict interpretation, I may allow something that doesn’t conform to some unwritten standard.
