recently i visited a small community in california. the pool & spa rules posted on the bulletin board were very interesting.

3. California State Law requires that gates to the pool be locked at all times. _Do not prop the gate open. You may be subject to arrest for child endangerment._

10. _CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF FOURTEEN (14) ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE SPA PER STATE LAW REGULATIONS. Severe heat may cause heart problems/physical damage and/or death in small children. Residents who allow small children in the spa will be reported to the local Police Department and may be subject to child endangerment charges._
