This is from a light hearted article about college faculty meetings but I think many of these probably translate well to our board meetings. I thought it was a fun way to start off a Friday morning

Utterance: Let’s send this back to the committee.

Implication: Let’s deep-six this baby.

My grandmother used to tell me ,"Takes one to know one." Meaning I was fibbing just like my brother.

I read the stuff and it should be passed out at every Board mmeting so folks could follow the Opera. Really is funny and like good humor has a lot of truth.

Thanks, I am going to send it to some folks in several states that have annual meetings this month. Ours is next month and althought I might send this to the president, he has a sense of humor, I don't think I'll copy it and pass it out at the door.
