I am a small manufacturer of Pickleball paddles... and have been building them for 6 years. To date I have made 1250 paddles...some quieter than others. Recently I was approached by a HOA in New Jersey to make some really quiet paddles tat would not have the USAPA approval because they have a series of holes to dampen the sound.

These paddles have been around for some time, used for different paddle games. Yes they can put a little more spin on the ball but they "play" just the same as the standard paddles. This seems to be a better and cheaper alternative to sound barriers...the question is will enough player try this solution out? Let me know your thoughts. I am a player, 3.0, and have played with them several times...better solution than the sponge ball...

Posting Rule 2: No solicitation, advertising, or selling of any kind is allowed here, except for occasional announcements from official site sponsors.

If that's not your intention, then good!

What's the Hourly A-weighted Sound Level (dBA) 50 ft. away from a court with 1 game going on for regular paddles? What about the quiet paddles? What's the ambient level when no one is playing?
