One person on the Board is FULL.... FULL of rage all the time.. Does the president of the BOD have a right to adjourn a meeting due to this rage, name-calling of another Board members, etc etc?

The President has a responsibility to control the meeting! If he/she cannot maintain control, perhaps you can appoint a Sergeant-at-arms to do so.

Yes, if absolutely necessary. But it would be more appropriate to not give the floor to the offender and would warn, and if necessary expel, the offending Board member from the meeting. A competent Chairperson knows how to conduct and control a meeting.

Alex,

I have posted this before and I will post it over and over. NO! I absolutely do not believe that any loud mouth member has the right to have a meeting adjorned because of poor disruptive behavior. The other members HAVE THE RIGHT!! to have this meeting. The Board has the duty to have a meeting and no Board should buckle under because of a troublemaker. Get them removed by any means, even if it means calling a Sheriff or local policeman. And he is on the Board? Start a recall to remove him, with or without cause because it is allowed per the Statutes.
