167 Townhomes located on Private Property.
The parking area, roads are on Private Property, and the Board of Directors controls all common areas.
Last week we began assigned parking to allow each homeowner to be able to park two vehicles in front of their residence, or as close to the home as possible.
The Management Company received an email today, about one of our homeowners who has eight ( 8 ) vehicles, and is taking up all the reserved spots, around where he lives.
The vehicle owner has four cars, a truck, commercial van (he does cover the lettering), and a motorcycle. All for one (1) person.
I personally believe he is using his parking priveledges, and abusing the system just to store his vehicles.
I am the President of The Board (9 members),and have concerns if he were get another, or another.

Has anyone ever dealt with a situation even close to this?.

Thanks:

Jim

I would say that if the homeowners of the other residences have complained then you need send a violation and tow. If he is allowed 2 vehicles I would make sure any Guest parking is marked with a time limit / that towing signs are in place and send a violation letting him know that neighbors have complained and he has 48 hours to remove the vehicles from their spaces or they will be towed. We do a similar thing - Homeowners are not permitted to park in the pool parking lot overnight - any vehicles there after the pool closes are subject to towing - the towing company periodically drives through and everyone is aware that it will cost them $150 to get their car back
