After 14 years in my association, I found out that I don't actually have Beach/Lake rights on my Deed. Can I request reimbursement from the association?

VG,

Were you granted access to the beach as if you had the rights? Rather than seek retroactive reimbursement, you should figure a way to get the rights from the association officially. I'm no expert in this, don't even know if you can do so.

Deeds and HOA covenants are two differnt things.
Always completely review (take note so you can refer back) your covenants and by-laws given to you when you bought your home. You will be amazed at what is really in them.

I think not. You purchased the property and were responsible for what you purchased. Apparently you did not purchase Beach/Lake rights or it would be on your deed. You may have recourse from the seller and/or a title company if you have proof in writting that these rights were part of the purchase.
