Due to a lingering non-paying owner situation in my HOA, the Board has started obtaining information concerning non-judicial foreclosure; the guidelines in the Texas Property Code stipulate that the first mortgagee needs to be contacted so they can provide 21 day notice to the owner. The current Board is inexperienced, no previous Board ever collected mortgagee information from owners, and I doubt the owner will willingly furnish any info to us - I'm at a loss. Does anyone know of a resource for that info that I'm overlooking?
