I POSTED a question on how to tactfully work with our treasurer's obvious issue with being prepared for our annual meeting. I must say I was called the other day by our President who was in turn notified by our Management Company and the gentleman hired to review our budget. The final numbers sent to him by our treasurer DID NOT COINCIDE with what the board had.

She apparently emailed the management company and our our budget reviewer the 2009 budget as reviewed and approvef by the board. The President was called the other day with the PM and the reviewer in a frantic! Somehow, the 2009 budget we had Ok'd had disappeared... what the treasurer sent out was a combination of skeweed numbers from 2008 and projected 2009, it didn't balance nor did it make sense to the PM and the reviewer.

A late meeting with the board had to settle out yet another screw up by the treasurer. THE PROPERTY MANGEMENT COMPANY AT THIS POINT TOLD USE IN CONFIDENCE THAT THEY DO NOT THINK THIS PERSON IS SAFE, NOR DO THEY FEEL IT IS IN OUR BEST INTERESTS TO HAVE HER BE WRITING CHECKS. It was because of her many many many many mistakes.. and trying to email some mismatched budget numbers... that they feel something isn't right with this one. Also, the fact remains that the Treasurer will NEVER say I messed up.. she blames our PM. I am sorry to say I don't believe her and the PM states she isn't safe.

Our Pres. Plans on asking her to resign from being treasurer as we have another open seat on the board anyway.. hope this goes well.
