| Sidney - there is no denying that your HOA has some problems. I didn't address those problems at all. My suggestion is that you don't turn the boyfriend being on the Board into an issue. Deal with the other problems instead. |

Well, folks the meeting is over, it seems they all got their wish...The out of town President is going back to VP and he appointed a investor who ownes a rental as President(who wasn't even at the meeting) the boyfriend got my job as Treasurer, his owner girlfriend will be the secretary when ours leaves in a few days. They placed the out of town jerk on speaker phone (making 3 Board members). They also hired a new MC "MyHomeSpot".....He has told us he can put us on the web and manage for less then $500 a month....We have never had a MC that low and I don't believe he can/will do this...Check out "MyHomeSpot" and read his fees. We had only five HO's show up plus the Board (2)...This jerk had called the attorney to have her call the Bank...this cost us for her to be told the same think we were told about getting new signature cards...Here this out of town President had given all the files to our newest Board member and her live in and they had not even looked at the files it seems(had since Nov.5th)...they didn't even know who we owe payments to or what had been paid or over due. Well, like our new US President, I wish them well for the sake of the community....I'm out for now, see what happens in the next six weeks before our Annual meeting on Jan.16th.... Thanks for lending an ear and offering help. |

| Susan...this whole HOA is so screwed up, they have so few HO's that give a darn and so the out of town President can do whatever he wants...He was on the speaker phone and the newest Board member was there (meeting at her house) and the secretary that has left by now was there so they had three to vote all this stuff in....So it appears this is a carry on of the same old Board...all "yes" people to the out of town President who demoted himself back to VP...He will still run the show but had placed names to fill in the blanks so that they can not get into the Bank account....He had to have new minutes to do so....This all happened Tuesday night...I looked on the Bank account today (haven't taken me off yet) and they have still done nothing...I told them at the meeting that we had two outstanding bills right now....I did see a $29.50 bank maintenance charge had been deducted....The old President, now the VP says he wants to change Banks again....as I said he wants to change all vendors also...This is our 4th MC in three (Jan) years and will be our 8th landscaper in the same time frame...each change costing the Association more money....This jerk told us at the meeting he had even contacted the attorney to call the Bank about our account...we had already been told 5 times just what we had to do...so we are paying the attorney for nothing....Every Board member knows exactly nothing, has never served or even ask and questions, showing any concern to the business affairs of the HOA....All I can do is wish when well, for the sake of the community. |

Sidney, I wouldn't know where to start with this mess. I question about the meeting at her house---"He was on the speaker phone and the newest Board member was there (meeting at her house) and the secretary that has left by now was there so they had three " How can they meet at someones house? How about the Statutes requirement for open meetings? Exactly how many Board members do you require and how many were elected or will stay on the Board from previously? Were there not enough to fulfil that amount and that is why someone got appointed by the V.P? I also think that the names and changing names on the bank account is by far the least of your worries in this mess. What needs to happen is one of 2 things because the current members do not have a clue on how to fix this. Either you need an attorney to come in and clean house to get things back on track or get a receivership to do things correctly. |

Donna, I am not being critical to add: First, I agree with your last paragraph completely. Second, it may be playing the same old fiddle but my agreement only extends to the knowledge I have. I am not at all sure we are on solid ground with this post, so I would qualify my agreement by saying; "based on the knowledge recived on these postings." Having said that I also venture to say, no matter what is real and what is not, I would strongly suggest the association hire an outside opinion of their enterprise. Seems to be a lot of smoke clouding the sky. |

Robert My Friend, Only you could write it out so eloquently. This place is just plain screwed up and Sidney wants to fix it by herself but she surely is only one person. We never will have enough advice for her to use because it would take an entire website to do so. |

Well, Donna, they did post the meeting on the sides of the mailboxes through out the neighborhood...48 hour notice...but as usual no one showed up but the same four HO's and one more that use to come....We are requied five Board members...so we had two there and the jerk on the speaker phone...From what I understand he can appoint Board members w/Board approval(which they did) until we have our Annual meeting in Jan. and hold our election...Believe me there will be no HO run so we'll get the same jerk and his followers. Donna, we had to get into the Bank account because there were bills to pay...hoping I will see that they get this done Monday, since it wasn't done Wed. or Fri....I'm not saying that this new Board can't pull this Association back together but I do know that they all work and will never put in the time I did. I worked on the HO affairs daily and for 3/4 hours...if not doing actual HO business, I was on the net learning, this site, Reality Times and others. I truely put my heart and soul into it. I hated to resign but I could not help the HO's if I wasn't allowed to do my job. One against 4 won't cut it and we can't get HO's interested enough to care....If you remember, I wrote the HO's(all 77) last year telling them exactly what was going on and told them to request the financials, if they didn't beleive me and to call me w/any concerns...I also posted that I received all of one phone call and 2 e-mails, that how concerned they were. I can see how Robert can think this all might be a little unbelivable but I swear to you every word I have said is true....It is truly a mess that the old President left us with and then to hand the control over to this out of town jerk....He and I were both given access (on the net) to the Bank account. Yet he said he didn't know who we own or how much...duh!!!...The checks as far back as six months can be opened and viewed..so why wouldn't he know?...I know who the checks are for w/o even opening...I am not saying I am perfect by a long shot but I do know everything about this community...I even have files as far back as 2005 (before taken over) I got these on my own before ever being on the Board....and the files from the MC have been sitting in the new Board members house since Nov.6th and they still don't know this information...maybe a note should have been placed on the top of the boxes "OPEN & READ" This guy is just crazy..one email he says he's thing we should self manage, the next he is looking for a MC (he told us at the meeting that since July that there didn't have to be three bids for a MC, Is this true? I don't know how I missed that as many times as I have read the SS)...After he wrote me the nasty email calling me a liar about the Reserves not being paid for over a year and taking money from that account to pay bills...He turns around and says, maybe we can slowly catch up on those lost funding..then in the same email says he thinks we will be able to cut the dues to $600...obviously if we couldn't fund the $902.42 monthly Reserves taking in $818 x 77 a year, how would we survive on $600. Oh and he can also hire the attorney to collect our 14/15 delinquent accounts, something we also couldn't do on the $818. You are both right, we need an attorney or receivership to help us start over and get on the right track...but this can never be done if HO's simply don't care....Donna, if you can think of anything I can do...e-mail julybaby36@yahoo.com...Thanks all for letting me vent. |
