I was recently informed that our HOA MUST maintain the Annual minutes plus the last 6 months of minutes on our web site. Since we are a non CCIOA and volunteer HOA, is this information correct? I have no problem with providing that information on the web, I just want to verify the information given me was correct.

Thanks for any input you can provide.

Dale, I believe someone gave you wrong information. Nothing in CCIOA requires any HOA to have a web site. If you have a web site it is desirable to post the minutes, notices of meetings, controlling documents, and other information. Check SB06-89 and SB05-100 for confirmation on the new requirements in CCIOA.

The question was not if the HOA was required to have a web site or not, but rather if certain information was required to be on the site should a web site exist. We have the Covenants, By-Laws, ODP, and monthly newsletters among many other items posted on a monthly basis.

Dale, I understood and thought I answered your question. Let me make it perfectly clear - the minutes of the last 6 months Board meetings and the last annual meeting do not have to be posted on any web site. However, for HOAs with a web site, it is recommended notices of meetings be posted in advance.

Please take time to read SB05-100 and SB06-89 which "cleaned up" and modified SB05-100 so you will know what is required.
