Now for all you out there who think I HATE Hummers, you are 100% WRONG. I am BOD and only trying to follow the rules and docs set by the community 30 years ago. Yes some have to be amended. But being a home buyer or home or a renter, we all have follow the docs and rules.Again I am and will follow what was given to me. I can not change the docs. 216 homes have to agree. And I see this whole truck thing coming soon. Then I can get my Hummer3. Thanks all, LaVerneB, S.Fl

You were more attractive when I thought you didn't like hummers?

Seriously, I understand the desire to enforce the rules. And it is far better the change a rule then fail to enforce the rule.

But I don't like hummers. And if I could, I would ban them from driving on our streets. But I am just one vote.

We have a very interesting situation in Indiana that does not seem to apply in other states. Apparently, we are waaaay ahead of our times.

In most Hoosierland covenant declarations boards have the right, but not the obligation, to enforce deed restrictions and rules and regulations they pass. In most cases, an individual homeowner has the same rights as the board to enforce, through legal proceedings, covenant restrictions.

In many cases, the only duty a board has is to own and maintain and manage the common elements.

By the way Hummers are made in Indiana . . .
