Are there any Fl.state regs that require an emergency phone at the common HOA pool

I would check with your local health department, I would guess you would be required to have an unrestricted emergency phone on the pool deck area.

Our pool will not pass inspection by the health department and will not open. Additionally, the health department stops in and checks the phone, and if not working, they close the pool. We do not have long distance on the phone and we have all blocking features in place on numbers that charge by the minute when you call them.

I manage properties in FL and know of no law regarding emergency phones on the pool deck. Check with your local Health Department regarding their regulations. They should be able to help you.
