If land(approx 7 acres) that has been donated to civic club is sold, do all landowners(16)need to agree to sell and sign the deed or can just the officers sign as representatives of the members. This property and club is in Texas.

Annette,

I'm sure the answer can be found in your CCRs or some other gov. doc. of your assn.

Annette the answers should be in your documents. While the BOD would sign as officers of the Association to convey the property the approval to convey would probably require the affirmative vote of all or a very high percentage of members giving them permission to do so.

You may want to confirm that you are indeed able to sell this land that was donated to you.

Often times there are deed restrictions for donated land that prevents it from being sold or used for purposes other than certain ones that benefit the community.

The Board would transact the sale, since they are the officers in power for the corporation at this time.
