We are professionally managed. I couldn't remember exactly what we paid for management services, so I just looked up our contract. Our cost for management services is around $200 per unit per year, so RogerB2's figure of around $100 per year sounds good to me.

However, $200 per year is about 7.5% of our budget. In Roger's case, it is about half of his budget. However, the bulk of the work, I think, is in collecting assessments and maintaining homeowner records, and that bears little relation to the number of bills to be paid or the size of the budget (which depends mainly on the cost of the services to be provided).

So, considering that, $100 per year per unit seems fine to me.

It's all relative.

Everyone who replied Thank you so much for your insight. Other than a few tangents regarding sarcasm and math you were all very helpfull. This is my first post on the website and with all the helpfull comments I'm sure it won't be the last. Thanks again

PS In case you didn't notice by my lack of knowledge this is my first exposure to living in a developement. I grew up in the country, where the only people who could tell us what to do with our property or our money was the government.
