I am in a farily new subdivison and the HOA is handled by the development company and we have a few more years before we can take over or get rid of them. They do not communicate with us. They asked that we submit information and requests in writing but to no avail. They have taken our yearly dues and we have no account information, no annual meeting planned and we are not happy with the landscape company.

Is there someone we can contact the governs develpoment companies that handle HOA?

Kevin, they probably have incorporated as a non-profit. If so, I would contact the Developer and request they begin to comply with the non-profit act. Send a copy of the letter to the Secretary of State unless you want to give the Developer one more chance.
