I keep seeing references to a CA person who has a newspaper column and wrote a book on HOAs. I read the LA Times and the only column I've seen is a Q&A. The byline, though, is two people. Would someone mind emailing me at hautecouture1986@gmail.com with the name of this person? I am very curious-thanks much! Emma

Thx, Joe.

Anyone who wants to extoll the virtues of the AHRC website or the rantings of the regular posters should definitely visit this website.

She holds a JD degree.

Donie Vanitzian is the co-author of "Villa Appalling!", a tell-it-like-it-is helpful guide for homeowners.

Donie is also the author of the West Group treatise, "California Common Interest Development - Homeowner's Guide" on the Davis-Stirling Act. West Group, for those not knowledgeable, is the leading publisher of case reporters, treatises and texts on the law.

You can learn more about "the other side" by viewing the new book, "Establishing the New America of independent HOA principalities" on Amazon.com or BarnesandNoble.com.

Some people don't want to hear both sides of the story.

I had not heard of Vanitzian until now. I wonder where I have been. I probably passed over the name hundreds of time in web research. Now, however, I am paying attention.

There is some truth in every point of view. Every viewpoint is worthy of consideration.
