Anyone else in a long term cable or other contract imposed by the builder?

Our Free line of defense is the FCC they will making a decision this summer. It correspond to us the consumer to inform the FCC how these agreements create an additional burden to the HOA.

Great information!! The neighborhood I live in now doesn't have any of those agreements, but my prior community did and the members have been asking for years to get them out of that contract but the Board's hands were tied.

We didn't use the cable service, but still had to pay for it. The cable company wouldn't credit us the amount we were paying through the HOA towards our internet service and we used satellite for TV...

Thankfully the CC&R's where I live now has a clause that states the Declarant Board cannot enter into any agreements that the new board cannot cancel at anytime after turnover with 90 days notice.
