I am aware of some home owners keeping their structures that are much larger than the codes for our HOA states.
I also, know there are 5 big buildings looks to be 16x20 down to 14x12 that were built AFTER the CC&R on modification and some up until just recently like 2 to 4 years ago. There has also been built on a property in our subdivision of a 100 square foot storage building just last year. It has electricity to it which is clearly not allowed. I know this to be true because anything that has electricity must be proposed to the county tax office. I was able to verifies these facts through property records online for one home owner and the records state it is a storage building. But the code says it can only be 5 ft high.
However, the little playhouse and its not smart to say shed can only be 8x8 8 ft high ground to tallest roof point. I have done a little research and found out two interesting words called "selective enforcement".
How does this affect any other home owners when they question these specific points of other residents having larger structures?
I want to know the facts before anything is said. What is selective enforcement and would these larger buildings fall under this.
Thanks
