Homeowners in Maryland have an opportunity to influence public policy.
The Maryland Task Force on Common Ownership Communities is accepting public testimony in person, by mail or by e-mail. This is your opportunity to right many wrongs and influence Condo/HOA/Co-op public policy by making your problems and solutions known to this Task Force. Maryland Homeowners’ Association (MHA) strongly encourages you to do so. The Task Force will be hearing public testimony from 4 to 7 pm on:

Thursday, June 15, 2006 Holiday Inn, Ocean City, MD 21842
Tuesday, June 20, 2006 Stamp Student Union, University of Maryland, College Park, MD 20742
Thursday, June 29, 2006 Joint Hearing Room, Annapolis 21401
Thursday, July 20, 2006 Winchester Hall, Frederick, MD 21701
Tuesday, July 25, 2006 Beth El Congregation, Baltimore, MD 21208

To find out the locations and directions to these locations go to:
www.marylandhomeownersassociation.info or
http://www.dhcd.state.md.us/website/taskforce/taskforce.aspx, or call the Maryland Homeowners’ Association office at 301-654-9242.

If you cannot testify in person, the Task Force has set up a web Forum for collecting information and you can present your ideas there. You may have to stretch the listed categories to accommodate your views. To do so go to:
http://www.condo-forum.com/

Lastly, you can submit your views in writing to:

Ms. Jacqueline Phillips, Chair
Maryland Task Force on Common Ownership Communities
Dept. of Housing and Community Development
100 Community Place
Crownsville, MD 21032-2023

Please act now!
