I would like to know if an elected board president can fire a volunteer board member. He did not include the one other board member when this was done.

Typically board members are elected by the membership and can only be removed by the membership in accordance with your bylaws.

Officers are elected by the board and can be removed from the office (Pres, Sec, Treas, etc.) by the board, but they remain on the board as a director.

Check your docs our states miss 3 meetings your gone. It also states anyone can be asked to resign if a majority states to do so.
