I live in Florida and I would like to know of what options other Fine Committees decide, when faced with a non-compliant property. We are trying to make a list of Fine Committee Options. This is what we have so far:
1) We have our $100 per incident 1st time, $500 per incident 2nd time and $1000 per incident 3rd time and each time thereafter.(in our CC&R's)
2) We have a $100 per day for continuing violations up to $1000 option. (Florida 720.305(2))
3) We have the option of no fine and giving the homeowner 15 days to remedy the situation.
4) We have the option of mediation.
5) We have dismissal.
6) We have no action taken.
What do other Fine Committees do or have done in the past?
