Homeowners are instructed to return their candidate profile forms to the MC for our annual election which is to be held in August. The MC returned one homeowner's form stating they would not include it because they did not agree with that homeowner's "style of writing". The MC apprised the BOD of this but withheld names. This doesn't seem right and I question their involvement instructing that homeowner to edit or do not resubmit their form again. Has anyone ever run into this problem? ReneeD

Renee, the MC has no authority to do this. Return the form advising you do not appreciate their action and ask what authority allowed them to refuse your form. Advise that you are a candidate and can complete your candidate profile form as you chose. Send a copy to the President of the Board. Of course you should at least provide your name, address, and desire to be a candidate; and it is desirable to state info about your qualificatins but it should not be required.
