Do any of you have a list of your pool rules? We are trying to establish new rules and need help in a couple of areas.

SWIMMING POOL AREA.

1 Control belongs to the Homeowners Association, which regulates usage, safety, and up-keep. Unlike a residential swimming pool, residents of Tustin Park Villas are not in control of pool usage.
2. The swimming pool area cannot be reserved for private parties. All Tustin Park Villa’s residents have an equal right to use and enjoy the swimming pool at all times.
1. Each resident bears the personal responsibility for knowing the swimming pool rules, adhering, to them, and seeing to it that others follow them. When a resident sees a violation, tell the person about it in a friendly way. Most violations occur because people do not know the rules. You will be helping them and protecting your own investment in Tustin Park Villas.
4. The gates to the pool are self-locking and are to be kept locked at all times. Your pool/laundry key is needed for entering and exiting, the swimming pool area. This is to protect Tustin Park Villas from unauthorized people coming in and to ensure the safety of children. Use your key for- yourself exclusively. Do not loan your key or use it to open the gates for others who do not have a key.
5. Users of the swimming pool area are required to clean up any mess made by themselves or by their guests.
6. Bear in mind that loud noises are disturbing to other residents who live near the pool area.
5. Be considerate at all times.

SWIMMING POOL SAFETY RULES
1 The swimming pool area has no lifeguard. You swim at your
own risk.
2. The swimming pool is open from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday.
3. Resident children under the age of 14 are permitted only if accompanied at all times by an adult member of the host family.
4. Guests are limited to two (2) per unit. An adult member of the host family must accompany guests.
5. The host is responsible for their guest’s compliance with swimming, pool rules and for any damage incurred.
6. Bathing suits must be worn. Cut-off jeans or other clothing is not permitted in the swimming pool.
7. Pets are not permitted inside the swimming pool fenced area. This is an Orange County Health Regulation.
8. Diving is not allowed.
9. Bottles or other glass objects or containers are not permitted in the swimming pool area.
10. Food is not allowed in the swimming pool area.
11 Inner tubes, rafts, floats, or balls are not permitted in the swimming pool area. Regulation life jackets may be worn.
12 Do not use the life ring as a toy. The equipment must be available at all times in case of emergency.
13. Profanity or any other behavior that may offend another resident is not allowed. Loud noises (including radios) are not permitted.
14. Hairpins, Curlers, or other metal objects are not allowed in the swimming pool.
15. Infants in diapers must wear plastic pants in the swimming pool.

These are fairly comprehensive. We have had pets in the pool and also kids in diapers. both are a big NO NO!

We don't allow flotation devices in our pool and this is linked to our County Health Dept. rules. We don't set a size limit, etc. The County also doesn't allow food or drink of any kind within a certain distance of the pool and this distance has recently changed to within 10' but we didn't change our rules from within the fenced in area around the pool because no one wanted to be measuring.
Our rules can be more than the County, just not less.
