I am a licensed Community Association Manager in Florida, interested in moving to Birmingham, Alabama. I would like to know what the requirements are to be a Community Association Manager in Birmingham, Alabama? Is licensing required? If so what is the procedure and where is training available?

I don't think there are any specific requirements. Try contacting the CAI Chapter in AL:

P.O. Box 6299
Gulf Shores, AL 36547
Phone: 800-943-9014

Hello Joe:

I have already sent Keith an e-mail about a week ago but no reply yet. I've searched Alabama statutes and codes but can't fine anything. Maybe as you say there are no requirements. I have a number of Community Association Management companies which I'll call tomorrow. They should know.

Thanks,
Dennis

Dennis,
I too spent some time looking for Management requirements or laws and found none. I would not be suprised because Tennessee also is void of any. Probably several other southern and less populated States are similar.
