Has anyone had any experience with a company Reserve Advisors Inc.
They conduct reserve studies for a whole host of organizations golf clubs, institutions etc. But how well do they work with/for Homeowners Associations?
I got the name but have no knowledge other than what I see on their web site.
Any feed back very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Martyn

MartynJ, Don't know anything about the company, but maybe the BBB does. In any case I would not commit funds from information on an internet site. The only thing you know for sure is what they tell you. You have given minmal information and I understand you question.

MartyN, first do not use names of company's on the site that is a big "no-no" with hoatalk. My community recently underwent transition from developer control to owner control. We solicted bids for transition studies, reserve studies, and others. The company you mentioned along with six others submitted bids. The company you mentioned was professional, did a professional presentation; however my community selected another offer based on pricing. Ours was a situation where we needed to have a package deal and have the principles for the different inspection criteria to be local folks who had a better understanding of our local codes, etc.

Seek out references from the company you mentioned and check around with other local to you HOA's etc.

One of our communities went out to bid and the board choose this company. They did a thorough job and their recommendations of the amount that should be funded was right on target.

Before this gets bounced, I've known the owners of this company for over 20 years and they've worked with a number of associations in this area. They're highly respected by their clients and the management companies, CPA's and attorneys who represent their clients. They're good people.
