Hello all...

I am a new president of a HOA here in Washington State with 35 residents and a voluntary BoD consisting a secretary, treasurer and me. We are very interested in finding out how other HOA's have responded upon discovering the establishment/operation of any AFH's [assisted family homes] within your respective associations particularly those who have CCR's that prohibit commercial operations.

The specific language of our HOA CCR's land use clause states...

"There shall be no commercial operations (home office uses are permitted with exclusion of employees) nor outside parking or storage of equipment used for commercial operations, permitted on the property. There shall be no commercial raising of dogs, poultry, hogs, fur bearing aniomals, nor shall there be any kennels operated on a commercial basis.

Each lot shall be used as a residence for single families and no multi-family dwellings of any short shall be constructed."

Your insights and responses would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Loren
