At our HOA meeting coming up I am new to this process and would like i to know in advance how this should occur? Do we nominate for positions and then mail out ballots for those who did not attend so they would be to be able to vote? Can someone guide me? Thanks

Jan, it depends on what your By-laws state. Generally notice of the election is provided in advance with candidates nominated to date included. If allowed there can also be nominations from the floor at the meeting. Usually self nomination is allowed. Then the election and announcement of the winners is announced at the meeting.
