Our CCR's state 'no motorized vehicles will be allowed on any common area owned or mainatined by our association'.
Our change came because we had a problem with one homeowner who caused a lot of damage with a snowmobile in the winter, and an ATV in the summer.We were never able to 'catch him' in the act.
Most homeowners were fine with the prohibition once they learned that they were paying for needless repairs to sprinklers and grass.
It also helps that in our town, these vehicles may not be used by unlicensed persons, and may not be used on public roadways. So even if we can't 'enforce', the police can.
