I am the President of a brand new Home owners association. We are a relatively small HOA (25 single family homes, and currently do not have any real (official)documents. I do have some scattered and random papers from the land developer which he gave me upon turing the HOA over to us. Does anyone have a comprehensive listing of what information I should have on file?
Any other advice for a new HOA and board?

The CC&Rs are filed in the real property records of the county in which the association is located.

Search this forum for "developer transition" and you will find many good discussions on new HOAs and developer turnover.

Go to the main forum page and you will see the search box on the upper right side. Type in developer transition and click Go.
