Our association has CCR's that require the association to maintain the front yards and all common areas. Because of the constant damaged to our yard by the current landscapers I requested they stop maintaining my front yard. I did not ask for a reduction in the monthly dues. I just wanted the carelessness exhibited by the landscaper to stop. Once trees and shrubby are trimmed wrong it takes months to recover. I was told by the association that I am forced to allow this action. The damage continues weekly. How can I get the association to stop? Complaints to the association manager are ignored.

You need to bring this to the attention of the board, with support from other owners if possible.

The landscaping contract is with the board and ultimately the board is in control.

However what appears to be excessive trimming to one person may just be keeping things neat and tidy to others.

In agreement with Fred, I think you should put your (1) complaint, (2) request to do it yourself in writing to the Board for discussion at an open Board meeting. It would really be best if you can get the supports of other owners.
