Despite our relatively sparse HOA / COA laws, Pennsylvania requires a Resale Certificate be issued upon the sale of any home in an association (whether under declarant control or not).

Do other states have similar requirements?

Just curious ....

Yes. Connecticut does. That, and more. Chapter 828, Sec. 47-270. Resales of units.

If the state doesn't, its likely the mortgage company will.
