Despite our relatively sparse HOA / COA laws, Pennsylvania requires a Resale Certificate be issued upon the sale of any home in an association (whether under declarant control or not).

Do other states have similar requirements?

Just curious ....

Yes. Connecticut does. That, and more. Chapter 828, Sec. 47-270. Resales of units.

If the state doesn't, its likely the mortgage company will.

VA has a large list of items that must be provided:

Condominiums also require a resale certificate but I'm not sure of what's required to be in them.
