What is the FL HOA procedure for a HOA member who was temporary due to all of the seats not being filled (5) and no election. We have an resident interested in a board member position but temp. board member wants to continue.

Is it still up to the board to vote on temp. board member continuing or can this trump the nomination?

Typically, a person appointed to the board serves for the remaining term of the former board member he/she is replacing.

BUT -

Assuming the person was appointed by the board, the board can also remove this person and appoint another person to serve the remaining term.

I'd say it's the board's call.

How many of the seats are filled and how were they filled (2 by election, 1 by appt, 2 vacant)?

When is your election scheduled (or has it happened already)?
