I posted here months ago about our President being recalled. The election is underway and the special meeting for recall and ballot count is sometime next month.

I did make copies of the petition which outlines the identified concerns by >5% of our homeowners. I didn't have to sign the petition as we had MORE than enough signatures.

Our community when I was obtaining signatures was supportive, some didn't want to sign but said they'd vote yes to recall, not ONE said they were against it. But as we all know APATHY and fear of indirect retaliation can stifle a recall attempt.

I mentioned I made 50 copies of the petition signed, and attached a simple half page note asking for homeowners to please vote and assist those who made the initiative to recall. Nothing negative about the person who is being recalled. I assumed the attached petition was enough information.

I have notice this seems to be awkward for some neighbors. THey are very friendly, but are hush hush about the recall. Now, I am not out knocking on doors asking for them the vote for a recall, but the letter I sent was received by 100% of the homeowners, not one has approached me to ask for further details ( which I was expecting.. )

Is this a bad sign or just that homeowners may have made their mind up and that is it?

Don't take this the wrong way...but your issue isn't everybody's issue. You may feel extremely passionate and do ALOT of work addressing the issue. However, you can't expect that from anybody else. You have to be happy with what you have done and succeeded to do. The rest is in God's hands and fate...

This is coming from someone who has a very "gung-ho" personality. You have to realize there's a point where you can't make everyone feel the way you feel about something. I may be hopping mad and mount a campaign against a board member. Another member's reaction may be well if someone makes a petition, I will sign it...It doesn't mean they aren't on your side and supporting you. They just figure if they have the time or gumption to sign the paperwork they will. Otherwise, it's not that big of a deal and good luck to you.

Take a breath and just hope things turn out your way. It's only fair to let other people to have their opinion as well even if it's NOT yours. It may appear your trying to railroad this person if you passionately try to sway people to your side. You don't want that. Just follow the rules and keep your path.
