For those of you who have a general Planned Unit Development Statement to give to banks (vs. filling in their forms), do you include your Insurance policy number on them or just provide the contact info and a statement that the coverage is maintained?
I ask because we continually get asked to provide either the actual policy numbers or a copy of the policy declaration page (neither of which we do).
Our PUD statement about insurance is as follows:
Who is the contact for insurance information? - [Name of Insurance Carrier], [phone number]
The [insert name] Homeowners Association holds liability insurance policies required
by the Bylaws and the Commonwealth of Virginia. It is suggested that each townhome owner
obtain insurance covering property damage and personal property liability insurance
covering his/her home and lot as it is not covered by Association Insurance.
I'm just trying to determine if I should include the policy numbers or not.
