As a matter of policy, our HOA Board does NOT publish a directory of owners, phone numbers or email addresses. One owner who lives out of state says we are trying to keep owners from communicating with each other. Our Board feels strongly about privacy issues. Not sure about Colorado laws, but could the Board be liable for distributing this information? There are only 34 units in our HOA.

Tell the member out of State to request a copy of the membership list (which must be provided if requested) and the Association will fulfill the request. Per your policy, the Board will not release that information without a request from a member.

The requirement to release phone numbers and/or e-mail addresses will vary by State and BOD should review laws that apply to their Association.
