Hello all,
simple but needed question.

I paid to rent our clubhouse for a private party.

I had to cancel it about a week ago and I emailed our management asking about a refund. I got an email dated and responded last week showing he said he'd refund my check etc.

Today I check my email and there is a email from our hoa site indicating our room is in use by me !! I emailed the president and she promptly emailed back.. she won't allow a refund! I had originally forwarded the email from the management company showing difference.

WOW, I had not idea the President thinks she is so almighty powerful that she thinks that she can do that after I was told one thing. Our rental agreement doesn't specify if refunds are allowed.

What do I do to get my itsy bit of money back?

Noelle,
First, why do you click the Submit button 4 times? While computers are marvelous machines it takes time for the data to be exchanged, please be patient.

Second, You seem to have some obsessive issue with the CH and other issues in your community.

If there is no stipulation of a refund policy, omne way or the other, then there is no reason to believe you will not be credited or refunded.

Send a letter to the Board indicating you now have "credit" for a rental which you have not yet exercised.

Try appealing to the entire Board and ask to see how this decision was reached. If it was not a BOD decision then I would argue it is not the "official" position of the Assn.

You should also suggest that they add a cancellation policy to the rental agreement to prevent any future mis-understandings.

Thanks for the lecture. Do you really think I did that on purpose? Last time I checked my mom is dead, I don't need to be corrected on an adult forum thank you. I also couldn't go back and delete them either so I tried.

I hope you all are a little more forgiving to those who have had issue with multiple submisisons. Good bye. geesh.

Noele,
This forum does not appear to have an active moderator. Therefore the users are the ones who are left to do so. Clicking or submitting four times would seem to be a voluntary action unless you have a problem with your hardware (mouse). If that is the case then it is up to you to correct it.

My reply was very adult-like IMO and based on your history.

Yours however would seem a bit petulant.

It was an honest mistake... You may of been very adult like sir or madame, but it's not your place to play police. It's a mistake. May someone be as understanding as you are when you make an error. As far as posting here everyone has a right, Yes, I made a mistake but you were not polite in your response to me. I am sure you are a peach to work with being as forgiving as you are good day sir or madame.

If your OCD is an issue, please, just ignore the other posts. I am sorry again..

I'm trying to help you.

In fact with the exception of Tim's addition...

I'm the only one to respond to you!
