How can one address malicious emails from a single board member? The emailer does not call names,. but rather writes like this.
Apologize for asking a question? Please.....note the baord memberis XXX and the poorly mannered emailer is XXXX~~~

( WHAT XXX~~~ IS REFERRING TO IS SOMETHING THAT HAPPEND OVER 6 MONTHS AGO... AND THE NEWSLETTER THAT WAS PASSED OUT WAS AN ANONYMOUS LETTER THAT SOMEONE WROTE. HE HA HAS ALWAYS SAID THAT XXX DID THIS WITHOUT 1;) ASKING HER 2;) DISCUSSING IT..... YES THERE WAS A LETTER SENT AROUND, BUT IT WAS 100% ON FACTS.. )

XXXXXX~~~~Maybe the board can look forward to you apologizing for publishing and distributing anonymous letters and a fake HOA newsletter complete with fraudulent and misleading information; all done while you were a board member. Or maybe your berating of HOA contractors with publicly posted notes? Or your attempt to create a false claim against Verizon contractors?
Don't dare lecture me on character.

an apology for this would be nice.

Garage Sales? Pet Sitters? Should board members be promoting their own personal agendas and business through the HOA Newsletter?

See attached our summer newsletter. I am going to shoot to get this out next week. THe BBQ as stated by Paula is July 19th and I didn't really get a time I assume 1 oclock. There is room for additions of course, and I thought it was nice to notify all that we have a new manager...

I advised the person receiving them to let the sender know to remove her email from the list and that block his email.

Any other great advice like you always give??

Nicole I would suggest you go back to the April 2008 posts (currently around page 25) and reading forward, pay attention to the posts from NoelleC, TammyO3, and IreneC. Their posts and problems are eerily similar to some of the problems you've posted and you may find some helpful advice in them. These include problems with malicious email from a Board Member, a BOD member who was best friends with the PM, a vehicle that was damaged during cable or phone installation and the "bad" BOD member being involved in a short sale. In fact one of the posts about email even mentions a Nicole. Now the cynic in me is suspicious that when one of these entities ceases to post another takes their place but I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

1) Board business should not be discussed in emails, unless your bylaws say so.

2) If this is not Board business, then it is gossip and of no use, so block it.
