Okay, I'm just making sure before I quote anything, the HOA FS720 amendments (Bill)that says it's going to be "effective 07/01/08", is this still a fact. I can start using the new amendments..............? I'm ready.

I can't remember who, but I want to say Jim...somthing sorry on this same website. He answered my message I posted. Maybe if you go on google and type: florida+home owner association+720+amendmants it will bring it up. If anyone else has pulled them up and read them do you know for sure if they are authentic...........I'm just paranoid because i've waiting so long for these changes like everyone else, I hope they are.

Found his name: JimM7 this is what he sent me.

have just downloaded and actually read the new proposed Amendments to FS 20.165: FS 720 with will be effective 07/01/08.

This bill will certainly wake up some of the associations that feel they have total control. I cannot wait to use the "recall" amendments..........I think I was told that it only has to be signed by the govenor correct?

Thanks for all the help I have received.

Jacqueline:

Can I make what is going to appear to be a petty request?

You have two threads on this forum, both have your username as their subject line: JacquelineB2.

Again, please don't think this petty of me, but could I ask that you not use your username as the subject line, but rather use the main idea or topic of your thread content instead?

When one has only a few minutes sometimes to scan the index of the forum to check to see threads one might either be interested in replying to or able to add come commentary, it gets a bit confusing and time consuming to stop on the threads that just have your username as the subject.

Hope I didn't offend and hope you can understand why it gets confusing . . .

Ok Guys ..here goes........

The Florida Constitution says that the Govenor has 15 days after the legislative session completes it"s work to sign or veto bills.

I have the # of the bills enacted ....but not signed.....
cs/hb 679, cs/hb 1105, cs/sb 1378 and sb 1986.

As of today I could not find that any of these bills have been vetoed so I must assume ........they will become law...bad assumption!

I am haveing a heck of a time finding the status......help....Jim

This is what I had found about the new amendments to be effective 7/1/08. I copied all 54 pages....I have no idea if any of this has been signed.

The above link shows the proposed changes for 718 condo associations. Anyone know if any of them have passed yet? I heard that some would go into effect July 1, and the others October 1, 2008

Not being familiar with the actual proposed bill, I would like to know which is the official Bill/FS that cover's all items that need to be passed regardless of when. I am looking for the recall mainly......sorry to sound so ignorant but this is a first for me and I am advising my neighborhood of what is happening.....
